Although he did not bag the title, I still feel that he did a very good job, and if I was given the opportunity to judge, I would rank this performance as the best among the other finalists.  Instead of just going all out and showing off his techniques, which I am sure he can do, he opted to perform a slightly simpler song, but the difference in musicality among the other finalists are glaringly...

Sadly another great guitar player that influenced generations of players have left to continue playing their music on the other side.  Here is a small snippet of how awesome Hubert Sumlin was.

I think I will have to agree with the old and wiser generation – it is their music that can really play with our “heart strings”.   Sadly I am stuck with processed and heartless music, thankfully I can still listen to these gems via the miracle of digital audio.  I think this should be a great goal to strive for – aim to create music that has a heart.  :)
